Okay, so I found this book at a TJ Maxx the other day and picked it up. I guess you get what you pay for. I am an avid baker and understand the science behind baking so, the very first recipe I came across was for chocolate chip cookies. The recipe was so different than any I had seen I had to try it just to see if it would work. Well, the results were exactly what I expected. A sheet pan of flat melted goo. The recipe could not possibly have been right....could it???? It called for 1 1/2 cups of BUTTER, 1 cup superfine sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 cups of sifted flour. Huh??? That's it??? WTF
